Steve Papermaster

Steve Papermaster is an experienced entrepreneur and investor in both technology companies and public sector initiatives. Mr. Papermaster serves as the Chairman of ROME Corporation with a focus on strategy, finance, customers and management team building. He has served as Chairman and/or board member for several public and private companies, including; Powershift Ventures, L.P., LabNow, Perficient, Inc., Vignette Corporation and TippingPoint Technologies.
Mr. Papermaster was the founder, chairman and CEO of BSG Corporation, a global software and systems integration company. BSG grew to over $100 mm/year before being acquired by Per Se Technologies and Philips Electronics in 1997 for over $400mm. He began his career as a consultant with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting).
Mr. Papermaster has also provided innovative, constructive leadership to several strategic public sector initiatives including several which impact national policy for energy, science, and technology. Key among these programs is Mr. Papermaster's leadership role on the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), to which President George W. Bush appointed him in 2001. In addition to his PCAST involvement, Mr. Papermaster serves as Chairman of Technology Network Texas (TechNet), as well as being a member of TechNet’s National Executive Committee.
Mr. Papermaster received an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and has also served as a national and world judge for the Entrepreneur of the Year awards. He is active as a community leader with organizations such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Austin Jewish Community Center, the American Cancer Society and Innovation Alliance.
Mr. Papermaster received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with highest honors from the University of Texas at Austin

Mike Kwatinetz

Mike Kwatinetz is a founding General Partner with Azure Capital Partners where he specializes in software and related infrastructure technologies. His current board memberships are I4 Commerce, Jacent Technologies, Kenamea, Knowledge Adventure, Medsphere, OQO, ROME Corporation and Wildseed. He also served on the boards of The Firm, Woodbury Computer Associates, and TopTier (acquired by SAP). Other investments include VMware (acquired by EMC).
Prior to Azure, Mr. Kwatinetz was Managing Director and Global Head of Equity Technology Research and senior software and hardware analyst with the Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group. Prior to CSFB, Mr. Kwatinetz held similar positions with the Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Technology Group and, previously, was a senior software and hardware analyst with PaineWebber. He was the top-ranked Institutional Investor in both PC Hardware and PC Software.
Mr. Kwatinetz currently sits on the board of TheatreWorks, a regional theatre on the San Francisco Peninsula and is also the author of "The Big Tech Score," published by John Wiley & Sons. He received his MA and PhD degrees in Mathematical Modeling from the University of California Berkeley and his MBA in Accounting from New York University.

Cameron Lester

Cameron Lester is a founding General Partner with Azure Capital Partners where he specializes in software and related infrastructure technologies. His current board memberships include PSS Systems, ROME Corporation, SourceCode Technology and Zend Technologies. Other successful investments include TopTier Software (acquired by SAP), VMware (acquired by EMC), Interwoven (IPO in 1999) and Salesforce.com (IPO in 2004).
Immediately prior to Azure, Mr. Lester was a Managing Director and the Group Head of the Software Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). Prior to CSFB, he was a Director and the Group Head of the Software Investment Banking Group at Deutsche Bank Securities. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Lester was a Vice President at PaineWebber, focused on software.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Lester has provided strategic and investment advice to numerous leading private and public software companies. Notable firms include Advent Software, Baan, BEA Systems, Brio Technology, BSQUARE, Citrix Systems, Cygnus, DigitalThink, E.piphany, HNC Software, i2 Technologies, Infinity Financial, Informatica, Interwoven, JD Edwards, Liberate Technologies, NetDynamics, NetIQ, Onyx Software, PLATINUM technology, Pure Atria, Retek, Salesforce.com, Think Systems, Vantive, VERITAS Software and Vitria Technology.
Prior to investment banking, Mr. Lester worked for Markowitz and McNaughton, a consulting firm specializing in competitive analysis, market opportunity assessment, strategic decision support, benchmarking, and acquisition buy-side search and due diligence services.
Mr. Lester received his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Virginia and his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
